On Tuesday I had the privilege of attending the Art Exhibition for UWE Africa Week. As I entered the exhibition I was greeted with superlative visuals. I have to mention the fact that there were visuals that managed to capture the essence of Africa, however the visuals were not limited to African culture. Furthermore the visuals were created by Africans, showcasing the fact that Africa as a continent can produce quality artists.
For the second half of the day, everyone sat down for a cultural showcase through the medium of film. We all had the honour of witnessing an explosion of culture in Cameroon. The film made a lasting impression on everyone watching. We bore witness to the music, the dancing, the fighting, the horse riding, the manufacturing of clothing and a multitude of other things present during the festival in Cameroon. It was a truly eye opening
The one thing that should not be overlooked is the way everyone was networking at the end of the evening. Everyone was asking questions with respect to the film. Overall it was an aesthetically pleasing evening.
